Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI)

You must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
You must have at least four years of investigative and interviewing experience. Army experience counts towards the experience requirement.
You must pass a written exam. There are a number of resources available for the portions of the exam not covered by MOS 97L training.
You must meet other requirements.

Experience Requirements

Certification Requirement	Applicable MOS 97L Experience
Candidates must have at least four years investigative and interviewing experience in a public or private position.	Individual experience will be assessed by CISA. Army experience can count towards this requirement.

Note: Education may be substituted for some portion of the experience requirement. An associate’s degree may be substituted for one year of experience, and a baccalaureate degree or higher may be substituted for two years of experience. OFFICIAL transcripts must be submitted in support of your application if you wish to subsitute education for experience.
